Sanjay Motwani, President and Portfolio Manager

Sanjay serves as the President and Portfolio Manager for Sansar Capital and its funds investing in Asia and the Middle East. Prior to the Sansar Capital launch in June 2005, Sanjay was with Kingdon Capital Management, LLC from 1997 to 2005, he served in various portfolio management roles including the sole Portfolio Manager for Kingdon Capital Management, LLC's pan-Asia (excluding Japan) portfolio from 2002 to 2005 and its Co-Portfolio Manager from 1999 to 2002. Before entering the hedge fund industry, Mr. Motwani served as a Research Analyst for Fidelity Investments in Hong Kong and London and an Investment Banking Analyst with Lehman Brothers in New York. Sanjay holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD, Paris, which he earned after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, with dual undergraduate degrees in Finance and Oriental Studies/Japanese.
